Pilot episode – “Sundown for Herbie”
On the inaugural voyage of Sundown Cruises, Inna struggles to hold the radical end-of-life experiment together as grief, scandal, and ethical dilemmas collide and rumors from Inna’s past resurface. While Inna flounders after Herbie’s unexpected death, Liam—a disgraced former soccer star on the brink of suicide—forms an unlikely connection with Chloe, a compulsive gamer confronting her mother’s terminal illness.

Episode 2 - “Lunges and Stowaways”
As the first voyage gets underway, Inna scrambles to keep control when a last-minute passenger throws the ship’s legality into question. Edward and Paul decide to give themselves a pre-wedding treat, Harold forces Judith to fess up to the rest of the passengers that she is faking her illness and Bernice fails to help Margo and her daughters break through years of defenses. Chloe saves Liam from a suicide attempt and Pamela and Ryan are guests on an explosive podcast which brings unwanted attention to Sundown Cruises.

Episode 3 – “Missed Kicks and Threesomes”

Liam finally spills about the scandal and mysterious illness that got him onboard—only to be immediately called out by Chloe and shoved into actual therapy. Judith takes mushrooms and connects the dots between her hypochondria and deeply tragic past. Paul and Ed gear up for their first sexual adventure, nerves and all, while Margo—true to form—once again fails spectacularly to get her daughters to call a truce.

Episode 4 - “A Whale of a Happy Ending”
Margo checks a major bucket list item off her list with the ship’s masseur, Rufus, while Lenny struggles with an aborted threesome and his obsession with older men. Inna confronts Pamela after a ghostly visit from Herbie, putting Ryan in the shithouse once again. Alfredo sheds some light on his prodigious intellect and defenses start to crumble.

Episode 5 - “Dim Sum and Dem Sum”
Harold and Judith decide to leave the cruise in San Francisco and Edward and Paul discover the pioneers who paved the way for their wedding. Ryan loses his shirt gambling with some dangerous players, Alfredo unexpectedly kicks the bucket, and the investigation shuts down the cruise while they're docked in San Francisco. Liam, Lucy and Chloe let loose while Margo chooses to stay on board for more Rufus-time. Edward and Paul rent the Honeymoon suite of their dreams and finally get their happy ending.

Episode 6 - “The Wedding Game”
Back on board, the passengers continue to bond. Chloe’s gaming career moves into the spotlight when Edward is cast as the Grandmaster Mage in the live action version of World of Zephyr. Pamela and Ryan are visited by a gluten intolerant debt collector who threatens to eradicate Pamela’s handbag collection. Chloe and Lucy lose at cards forcing them to attend a liberating session with Bernice and Inna relives her first meeting with Herbie.

Episode 7 - “Dead Dons and Fake Fishermen” (The Origin Episode)
In 1976, Herbie is forced to leave his fledgling funeral home business when a connected family asks him to bury their Don. A misunderstanding with a pair of panties leads Herbie to flee, picking up a Vietnam scarred veteran hitchhiker on his way West. Meanwhile, Pete struggles to save his long- suffering mom, taking on a dodgy fishing gig which leads to his incarceration. We pick up years later when Pete meets a successful Herbie in his new funeral home business in Oregon and the men begin their epic decades long friendship.

Episode 8 - “Hashtags, Husbands and Ghosts!”
Paul reflects on his long journey with Ed, Margo invites Liam to stay in the US with her family and Chloe organizes the biggest livestream event in gaming history. Ryan inadvertently gives Inna a boost of PR while Doris takes to her room with a migraine in the middle of the wedding preparation. Chloe faces her fears and takes a chance on loving Liam, Inna confesses the secret she cannot hold any longer and Bernice catches her before she falls. Ed and Paul’s wedding is a viral love fest for gamers, and the world is relieved that their new gay silver icon is indeed alive. A figure from Herbie’s past sees Inna’s commercial and books the next cruise for his entire Italian family, bringing us to Season 2.
